Interview with Karyn by Michael Borusiewicz regarding Luke Borusiewicz who died in foster care

The following is an interview Karyn ******* conducted on 23.5.09 by Michael Borusiewicz.

Michael: How well did you know Luke Karyn?
Karyn: Reasonably well. I first saw him when he was a couple of weeks old. I went to your house in Hoare St. after the baby had been brought home from hospital. I had known Michael and Jacky for some time before this.

Michael: What did you think of Luke's Dad as a father?
Karyn: Perfectly competent. You were a father, you just get along with it. I heard that after the fire at Hoare St.

Where to go for legal advice

The Community Legal Service (CLS) brings together organizations offering legal and advice services into local networks.  These networks are organized and supported by Community Legal Service partnerships, which are made up of representatives of the Legal Services Commissionlocal authorities, and other funders and providers of advice in civil matters.

The Criminal Defense Services replaces the old system of criminal legal aid and provides services to people accused of crime. Both of these schemes are under the jurisdiction of the Legal Services Commission

MOTHERS INJUSTICE - United Kingdom Social Services Help Group

on Tue, 03/06/2012 - 07:40

Mothers Injustice Support Group a group of mothers from the United Kingdom fighting the miscarrage of justice cases in the high courts by judges not letting mothers have a fair court case.

The following is a post from the group...

Hi all, just want to share something with everyone on this group. In 1998, I responsibly asked ss for help with my 3 children aged 3,2 and 1 respectively. During the time my children were in respite care, I had a fight with a senior social worker who provoked me into attacking her. My children were not present. I didn't get arrested or charged with assault.

United Kingdom - Child Protection System Legal Help

This website is designed to provide frontline practitioners with information and advice on child protection and safeguarding legislation and policy.

The map below provides a detailed overview of the child protection system in England and its various entry points. Note that the stages of this process as reflected in the map do not necessarily follow on from each other. For instance, you do not need to complete a CAF form to make a referral to children’s services. Similarly, a child in the child protection system will not always be subject to a court order.

IT’S TIME FOR A UK ENQUIRY & APOLOGY

We are calling on the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for a full and detailed public enquiry into the forced removal of children from parents and the forced adoption of many of these children.

Our purpose is to show the impact on victims of Forced Adoption and call for an apology by the United Kingdom Government for the human atrocities it has been undertaking on children and their families since 1989 in the name of “in the best interests of the child” and to prosecute those professionals found guilty  of perjury, falsification

United Kingdom - A baby comes home – but a mother remains in jail

A girl taken from her parents in France has finally been returned, but Vicky Haigh's case has no such happy ending

There were contrasting outcomes last week to two of the stories I have been reporting involving parents whose children were removed from them by our family courts. In France there were tears of joy when Marie Black and Joe Ollis were reunited with their baby daughter Luna, born in France in February but then seized by Norfolk social workers, to be brought back to England to live in foster care.

Most of them were Freemasons. There were two MPs, senior judges, serving police officers, senior police officers, market traders, business people from Wrexham – but there were people from all over Britain

Keith Gregory suffered two years of mental, physical and sexual abuse at the Bryn Estyn children’s home.

Vulnerable children failed by notification scheme and 'private fostering'

Vulnerable children failed by notification scheme and 'private fostering'

Thousands of young children are at risk of neglect or abuse because the system set up to protect them in the wake of the death of Victoria Climbié is failing.

Figures for this year show 1,330 children registered as living with distant relatives or friends in what are known as “private fostering” arrangements — a fraction of the estimated 10,000 to 20,000.

The notification scheme was set up to try to protect children who are often living thousands of miles away from their parents.
