Child Protection in Tasmania - The Anecdotal Vacuum

Child Protection in Tasmania - The Anecdotal Vacuum

Andrea Sturges is no better than your run of the mill high ranking child stealer.

I witnessed first hand desparate parents begging her for help, only to be blatantly insulted and turned away. I witnessed their children clinging to them during loving hugs. The children beg child protection to return them to their parents who have never abused them.

What does Ms Sturges have to say to this heartbroken family???

I am satisfied at the forefront of my officer's minds was the safety and wellbeing of the children. Anecdotal evidence reported by my officers confirms.... (all of their lies).

Internal pressure for forced adoption apology Tasmania

Internal pressure for forced adoption apology Tasmania

A Tasmanian Labor Senator is calling on the State Government to issue an immediate apology to people affected by forced adoption.

South Australia has became the second state to say sorry to those affected by policies from the 1950s to the 70s.

A Senate committee has recommended a national apology.

Senator Carol Brown is confident Tasmania's Premier, Lara Giddings, will follow suit.

"She will apologise for the actions that were taken, she will apologise for the lies and deceptions that were carried out on very vulnerable young women and also the fathers and the adoptees," the senator said.

Why do child protection staff move around so much

on Thu, 04/19/2012 - 09:01
Why do you all move around so much?

Is it so families like mine can waste time giving all our info, time etc and you all know you are moving and families have to start again with the next person who takes your place and will just give up?The next person isn't going to know the department hadn't told you they were taking our approval off us and other incorrect info etc.I don't see how moving staff around gets changes for the good of all Tasmanians happening.Lets suggest a committee be set up for dealing with all departments dealing with children have it chaired by people like families who have
