Walk a Mile in Luke's Shoes and Tell Me How Perfect Your Child Protection System Is

Luke's Army Video Channel on Youtube

Walk a mile in Luke's shoes. Packing up to move on again, and I take these shoes with me everywhere I go, and a pair of his dirty socks wrapped in plastic to keep his smell in them.

One thing I am grateful for is that I never stopped telling Luke how much I loved him. I would say "I love you more than anything in the world, forever and ever Lukey", and he knew what I meant, because he loved me that much too. I must have said it to him twenty times a day.

I made the DoCS worker wait til I played one last song with Lukey before they dragged him away.

When Children in Foster Care Want to Come Home
By Michael Borusiewicz

Note: This file will be updated as more information comes to light.

You can put in for a dismissal of the current orders. You need to go to the department and talk to them about it and then file against the current order. You need to prove the child does not want to be in care and that your circumstances have changed and how and why their better off at home. There is a word for the dismissal but i can't think of it right now. Will get back to you on that. He said the courts tend to listen more when the kids are 13/14 and up.

By Nev Moore
Massachusetts News

Child "protection" is one of the biggest businesses in the country. We spend $12 billion a year on it.

The money goes to tens of thousands of a) state employees, b) collateral professionals, such as lawyers, court personnel, court investigators, evaluators and guardians, judges, and c) DSS contracted vendors such as counselors, therapists, more "evaluators", junk psychologists, residential facilities, foster parents, adoptive parents, MSPCC, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, YMCA, etc.

In Loving Memory of Leanne Thompson Abandoned by Qld DoCS

on Thu, 04/25/2013 - 07:14

SIX days before a girl, 15, died as a result of a hanging, Child Safety was told she had been beaten and given drugs by a man she was living with, but the department did nothing, an inquest has heard.

Delia Williams, a departmental team leader in 2006, told Brisbane Coroners Court she did not notify police because she called Leanne Thompson and the girl told her she was "perfectly fine".

Daniel O'Sachy had told a child safety officer on September 1, 2006, that Leanne was living with his brother Alex O'Sachy, who frequently hit her and gave her the drug speed and called her a whore.

Justice for Alex Hill, Removed from Parents for Marijuana and Murdered in Foster Care

Fight Child Protection Department Corruption:
Alex Alexandria Hill Marijuana Murdered Foster Care

Beautiful baby Alexandria Hill was removed from her parent’s custody because they naively admitted to Child Protective Services that they sometimes used marijuana at night, after Alex was asleep, to help them rest as well. Child Protective Services in Texas apparently felt that minor marijuana use was neglectful supervision, so she was removed from the custody of her devoted, loving parents and placed in foster care.

Grandfather of Aboriginal child removed speaks out against FACS NSW DoCS
Another case of a child being removed from home has emerged in New South Wales. NITV News reporter Tara Callinan spoke with a man who had his granddaughter taken from his Sydney home four months ago.

In June this year, a baby was taken from its grandfather's arms by the NSW government Child Protection department in distressing circumstances.

"I had two DOCS NSW workers knock on my door at three o'clock looking for my daughter. They said they could contact her. I didn't think there was any problems. I was thinking why are DOCS workers at my door," said the grandfather.

"All of sudden, six

6 Mistakes I’ve Made as a Foster Parent

on Sat, 10/25/2014 - 08:09
Forums:
If I had the time, I could have written this as, “600 Mistakes I’ve Made as a Foster Parent.” I’ve messed up a lot. However, what keeps me going is knowing the significant need for foster parents — and how much more important that is than my ego. I’ve aimed to be as honest as I can with the foster care home-finding caseworkers and if they think I’m a good foster parent for the kids they are helping, then I’m here. Ask any child welfare professional and they’ll tell you that they aren’t looking for perfect parents, they are looking for ordinary people willing to give foster parenting a try.

Former Supreme Court justice Margaret Nyland will head a royal commission into South Australia's child protection system.

Premier Jay Weatherill announced the terms of reference for the royal commission on Friday.

Ms Nyland will report to government within 12 months on the adequacy of the state's child protection laws and the operations of Families SA.

Attorney General John Rau said Ms Nyland had been directed to raise issues with
