When Children in Foster Care Want to Come Home
By Michael Borusiewicz

Note: This file will be updated as more information comes to light.

You can put in for a dismissal of the current orders. You need to go to the department and talk to them about it and then file against the current order. You need to prove the child does not want to be in care and that your circumstances have changed and how and why their better off at home. There is a word for the dismissal but i can't think of it right now. Will get back to you on that. He said the courts tend to listen more when the kids are 13/14 and up.

Adoption Bonuses: The Money Behind the Madness

DSS and affiliates rewarded for breaking up families

By Nev Moore
Massachusetts News

Child "protection" is one of the biggest businesses in the country. We spend $12 billion a year on it.

The money goes to tens of thousands of a) state employees, b) collateral professionals, such as lawyers, court personnel, court investigators, evaluators and guardians, judges, and c) DSS contracted vendors such as counselors, therapists, more "evaluators", junk psychologists, residential facilities, foster parents, adoptive parents, MSPCC, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, YMCA, etc.

Forced adoptees are not alone - Latrobe Valley

Latrobe Valley residents meeting to talk about the often painful impacts of forced adoption have been given an opportunity to see things from another perspective.

For the first time in Traralgon, adopted people, mothers, fathers and adoptive parents spent an afternoon together sharing their experiences.

It was part of at a recent support group meeting facilitated by Victorian Adoption Network for Information and Self-Help.

Between the 1950s and 1970s thousands of unwed, young mothers were forced to give up their babies in circumstances often surrounded by deceit and secrecy, according to the

Little Girl Lost: My Failed Foster Adoption

Her brothers came into our lives two weeks earlier. As we sat in a local McDonald’s, we were excited and anxious to finally meet this little girl we had heard so much about: our new daughter.

The minutes flew by, and then in walked the most adorable little 5-year-old ballerina. She was dressed all in pink and wearing a matching pink tutu. I looked at my husband, two weeks into fatherhood, and saw the tears flooding his eyes as he met his new daughter for the very first time. I watched as he leaned over to explain to the boys that she was their sister. They were two and three years old.

Forced adoption pain lingers

Forced adoption pain lingers

JO Fraser was one of an estimated 150,000 women who had their babies forcibly adopted over three decades from the 1950s.

It was a practice sanctioned by governments, churches, hospitals and charities, and a year on from a national apology to her and others, the pain still lingers.

Giving birth in Melbourne in 1971, Ms Fraser, then 17, was too scared to sneak a look at her son.

Later she signed the adoption papers.

"I just did what I was told," she told AAP.

No forced adoption for Aboriginal children

Note: So what does this mean exactly and what exactly is self proclaimed child protection guru Pru (NSW Holocaust) Goward trying to achieve by only stealing white children permanently? Does she want only to be remembered for creating "The New White Stolen Generation by FACS?"

Can't Barnardos and Life Without Barriers make as much money from adoptiong out aboriginal children as white children? They have raked in the cash from foster care but that is chicken feed compared to the money on offer from adoption.

Relinquishment and abjection: a semanalysis of the meaning of losing a baby to adoption

Between 1960 and 1975 more than 38,000 mothers lost babies to adoption in New South Wales, Australia, a pattern which was replicated in other Western societies.

Farrar, Patricia.
Date: 1999
Abstract:

Various theories were proposed for women's exnuptial pregnancies which resulted in their babies being taken for adoption, culminating in the discursive construction of the unmarried mother as 'mad, bad, or stupid'.

Until the 1990s, the voices of women whose babies had been taken for adoption had been silenced by the social order which adoption practices served.

It is through their voices, and

Veil of secrecy lifts slowly on decades of forced adoptions for unwed mothers around the globe.

Veil of secrecy lifts slowly on decades of forced adoptions for unwed mothers around the globe.

Adopted or abducted?

Most women describe giving birth to a child as a life changing experience – in a word – “challenging”, “joyous”, “miraculous.”  But generations of young, unwed women describe their experience of giving birth to a child as a nightmare – and decades later their suffering has yet to end.

From Australia to Spain, Ireland to America, and as recent as 1987, young mothers say they were “coerced”, “manipulated”, and “duped” into handing over their babies for adoption.
