Here is my latest piece of artwork. Done with pastels on card, I am giving it away to a member of the Luke's Army group on facebook in appreciation for all the kindness and support I have received from these people who are Luke's Army.
I intend to start giving my art to as many of the members of this group as possible to acknowledge their support.

Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to your attention the death of my son, Luke Borusiewicz, whilst in foster care.
It is a tragic story, an endless battle for the return of my son, whilst he was being mistreated by his foster carer, causing his death due to being left for six hours with a fractured skull.
Luke was abused by his mother, before he was out of her stomach and up until the third time he was removed by child safety.
I don't talk of it much out of respect for Luke. He loved his mother. He was too young to know what was happening.
She would hurt him to get at me, she knew how much I loved him.
I tried to be there and protect him, but child safety refused to consider me as an option because there had been domestic violence.
I don't condone my actions, but I tried everything. I hated her for what she did to him, but stayed with her because child safety would not let me take him.
Dear Luke's Dad,
I am a 29 year old woman from regional NSW and recently commenced work in a
State Government Department in the are of Social Work, in what I believe is a
field that enables me to help people in a very practical way. I have had
personal experience with the gross misconduct, heartlessness and neglect that
the one DoCS employee I have known, is capable of.
After some research this evening, my eyes have been opened to the plight of
these children and the horiffic, absolutely unacceptable state of the system.

A SUNSHINE Coast woman claims she lost her child safety job because she refused to sign an affidavit which would have resulted in a child being sent back home and exposed to potential abuse.
Other allegations the whistleblower has levelled against the department of communities' child safety service - in an exclusive interview with the Sunshine Coast Daily - include rampant cronyism among top officials, a revolving door policy towards staff who speak out and officials who act with impunity.
