I worked as a painter on a couple of houses for him when I was drug free and doing my best to get luke back. I worked and stayed drug free for six months until department of child safety in Cairns decided to put Luke through two foster homes in Townsville, then they moved him from foster home to foster home in Cairns until he died. His mother and I were both in Townsville but they still moved him to Cairns.
Moving to Townsville and getting a job was the last step for me to get off drugs. When they told me they were sending Luke back to Cairns and I would have to return to Cairns if I wanted to continue visits with him I asked them if they were trying to get me back on drugs. They laughed at me.
I would go into the Department of Child Safety everyday after work and beg for Luke back, and to show them I was working and not on drugs. One day when I came in I surprised them. They had organised a visit for his mother but not for me. I was allowed 10 mins with him, and that was after 2 weeks without seeing his father.
Anyone who watches any of Lukes videos on you tube can see how much we adored each other. I worshipped Luke like the miracle he is.
