DoCS: The toilet brush of the Australian public services.

The department of child safety should be a two edged sword:-

Firstly, they should be helping struggling, disadvantaged and impoverished parents and their children. Every family has problems. They offer minumum services and act out a role as the divine gurus on childrens upbringings. Their vast knowledge is gained predominantly from books used as references by universities. Many do not even have children. They come with the attitude "Their decision is always the best course of action to take." Nobody is infallable.

Secondly,

They should be taking more notice of the advice and opinions of the foster carers. It is no great secret that the vast majority of foster carers are not happy with their treatment by DoCS. This is resulting in the loss of many much needed and capable foster carers. They should be there to help the foster carers, not bully them.

DoCS should be a two edged sword clearing out the over burdened foster care system. Instead they are like a toilet brush, clogging the system.

Arrogance and rudeness are the training wheels of the executive employees of DoCS. Without them they fall over.
